Abstract

Although there are lots of valuable researches on Hafez some of ideas and the utmost purpose of this “ringleader of Suffis” are still shrouded in mystery. Among those is a verse in which Khajeh Hafez Shirazi has dealt with “Alexander's Mirror”. Since researchers on Hafez have controversial views on this verse, this article intends to quote and criticize the commentators’ opinions on this verse and, after providing some information about Alexander’s Mirror, tries to unravel the mystery of its meaning.
