Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is the effect of family - center empowerment model on the life style of the MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION patients.Materials & Methods: The present study was a clinical trial that fulfilled after cluster randomized sampling, each subject (seventy patients and seventy active member patient's family) were randomly assigned to experimental or control group. For experimental group, family - center empowerment model implement with four dimensional that including: Perceived threat (Severity & sensivity), Self - efficacy, Educational partnership and Evaluation; and for control group do usual care. The research tools involve the questionnaires of Demographic, LIFESTYLE and four empowerment dimensional.Results: The results of Fisher and Chi - square tests showed that from view demographic data there were no significant difference between two groups experimental and control (P>0.05). In LIFESTYLE dimension, the upshots of independent t - test, signed and U - Mann Whitney tests revealed that before the intervention, both of two groups were equivalent (P>0.05), but after the intervention, except physical healthy mode (P>0.05), all of modes have deeply been significant difference (P<0.0001).Conclusions: The results of this study appear that family - center empowerment model for MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION patients is practically feasible, is associated with improvement and or LIFESTYLE modification patients and his or her family.
