Abstract

purpose: specialized training and update accident experts one of the ways to improve scientific and technical knowledge; For this reason, today the issue of Educational Needs Assessment prioritization is one issues that should be improved with the aim of increasing productivity. Therefore, main goal the assess the needs and prioritize training of accident experts.Method:This research was exploratory in terms applied purpose and mixed method. The statistical population of experts qualitative section Greater Tehran Traffic Police and University Police Training section 201 experts on accidents in the 28 districts of Tehran. Sampling in the qualitative part was based purposeful method based on criteria, and in the quantitative part, it was simple random method. For data analysis, in the qualitative part of the research, analysis was using MAXQDA software, and in the quantitative part, confirmatory factor analysis done using Smart PLSFindings:value of 0.875, value and credibility with a value of 0.866, participation with a value of 0.864 and persistence with a value of 0.772 are more than 0.5, which was significant at the 0.95 level. The highest impact of Educational Needs Assessment of accident experts is related to comprehensiveness value of 22.68 and the lowest impact is related to continuity with a value of 12.792.Results: accident experts need acquire specialized knowledge regarding issues related traffic accidents, which requires a suitable range educational standards with the priority variety in programs, new scientific developments, technical knowledge and students' interests The content of textbooks should be changed according specialized and strategic needs.
