Abstract

Introduction: The main purpose of this research is to examine the possible relationship between CODEPENDENCY and MENTAL HEALTH among wives of OPIOID DRUG ABUSErs under TC intervention.Method: Participants (n=30 addicts’ wives under TC) were selected using available sampling method. All participants were filled GHQ-28 and dependency questionnaires.Results: A Significant positive correlation was found between CODEPENDENCY and MENTAL HEALTH. Anxiety alone (R2=0.31) and anxiety and social performance together (R2=0.46) were predicted variations of CODEPENDENCY by wives of drug abusers.Conclusion: CODEPENDENCY is associated with increased symptoms of abnormality for wives of drug abusers. Anxiety and social performance disorder are the important predictors for CODEPENDENCY.
