Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the institutional factors affecting the development of Iran's sports industry. The qualitative research method was collected using the grounded theory method and the required data using semi-structured interviews. The statistical population consisted of professors and experts in sports management, in the field of economics and sports officials. Targeted sampling method with focal group technique has been used. After in-depth interviews with 10 selected samples, saturation was obtained and the interviews were conducted. Based on the results of the analysis of coding findings, the quality model with 128 open codes and 20 axial codes in the form of six dimensions of the paradigm model, including causal conditions (4 categories), the main phenomenon (institutional factors affecting the development of Iran's sports industry) Strategic factors (4 categories), underlying factors (4 categories), intervening factors (3 categories) and outcome (4 categories) were identified. Based on the information obtained, it is necessary to employ experts in the field of sports, to establish national labor laws and regulations, and to facilitate the structure of privatization.
