Title

AN ALGORITHMIC APPROACH TO DEVELOPING A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF MATHEMATICS USING CLASSROOM DISCUSSION

Abstract

 One of the important problems in mathematics education is how todevelop a deep understanding of definitions, theorems and mathematical structures. In order to achieve this, the teacher should explain all his knowledge and tools and the student should try to understand. This paper first discusses the concept of mathematics as the subject of academic debate and mathematical methods will be discussed, in both areas, the practical examples of how the project is presented. First, an ALGORITHMIC approach is proposed and an algorithm is implemented, to create a deep understanding of concepts derived. Next, discussion as an educational method for a deep understanding of concepts of derivative and the concept of function is expressed. In this paper, using the results of a study at Shahrood University and other documents, the effectiveness of the discussion method is demonstrated.
