Abstract

At the beginning of the 11 th century, regarding the importance of Iran during the time of Safavid era, first Golestan and then Bostan were translated into German. ANDREAS GRYPHIUS-the great poet of this era- has poems which seem to have been translated under the influence of Sadi.The present article aims to describe the Baroque epoch, the German translations of Sadi’s works which have been done in that era. At the end of the article the reasons of the trend in SA'DIs works in German and the similarity between Sadi’s and Gryphius’s will be argued.
