Abstract

This article attempts to examine the Gender Identity within post-modern and feminist discourse based on Anthony Giddens theory about Identity in his works "Modernity and self-indentity" and "The Consequences of Modernity". By studying lots of research and concerning on feminist goals and slogans we can say that all of their actions were not in pursuit of power and economy but to break the rigid, static frameworks of Identity which have been influenced by various environmental, social, cultural and even political and economic factors, has been inspired at first on all people and at the second to women as a nature of biological sex, As far as the mind does not come out that can redefined and revised Identity. Rejection of meta_narratives in the postmodern, Identity was one issues that achieve fluidity which was feminist aim. So now the question is that despite the realization of postmodern is there any new thing that is more important than Identity and feminist can bring it out or we have to close feminist case.
