Re-examining the divine orientation in the opinions of Abul Qasem Zahrawi, a solution to explain the requirements of medical science in Islamic culture

Abstract

 Medical knowledge in Islamic Culture has objectified its identity in the framework of divine orientation. This means that despite the experimental skills and accurate clinical observations among Muslim doctors, their monotheistic attitude has established the field of medicine on the basis of a God-seeking worldview. In this regard, reviewing the works of Abulqasem Zahrawi and re-examining the opinions of this famous Andalusian doctor as one of the most important ancient sources in the history of medicine helps to explain this field of study. This article intends to pay attention to Zahrawi's views and ideas in a descriptive-analytical way,So that perhaps the contribution of this great physician of the Islamic world in explaining the requirements of medical science appropriate Islamic Culture will be clarified more than in the past. The main question of the research is that, while explaining the principles of medicine and developing practical methods aligned with the field of empirical knowledge, what ideological presuppositions did Zahrawi introduce as necessary for the medical profession? Based on library sources and relying Zahrawi's opinions, he showed the results,The medical system, including prevention, treatment and health of the individual and society, is not a single system and disconnected from religious teachings. So that the culture of health should continuously maintain its stable connection with the arena of spirituality and monotheistic literature. If the reproduction of such school of thought in experimental findings of doctors, which is taken from the Aafaq and Anfas verses, is considered one of main requirements of medicine in Islamic Culture.
