Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of emotionally-focused couples therapy (EFCT) on loneliness of hurt women from infidelity. It was a semi-experimental in form of pre & post test in addition follow up group was applied. The statistical population included all the women who referred to Family Counselling center in Salmas city in related with infidelity. In among of them 20 women who had extra point in Russell’ s loneliness Inventory were selected then they were randomly assigned to control and treatment group. Then treatment group underwent eight sessions (90 minutes) weekly about two months, instructional program on emotionally focused therapy strategies. For control group didn’ t give any train. Results of analysis of covariance showed that There was menacingly difference between two groups(P≤ 05) and The average of treatment group was lower than control group. Results in follow up showed that the effect of emotionally-focused couples therapy remained after two months. It was concluded that emotionally-focused couples therapy (EFCT) can play a significant role in decreasing of hurt women from infidelity.
