Abstract

The purpose of this study was the comparison of MENTAL HEALTH, MARRIAGE SATISFACTION and ASSERTIVENESS between PARENTS of MENTAL RETARDED and normal (girl and boy) students. In these research 398 PARENTS of MENTAL RETARDED and normal (girl and boy) who their children's were studding primary schools in west Azerbaijan were selected randomly and examined for obtaining the necessary in formation about groups. We used 3 questioners: (SCL-25), (ENRICH) and (ASRI). The data collected were analyzed by independent t test. The statically results were showed that: means of scores between groups in 3 variables (MENTAL HEALTH, MARRIAGE SATISFACTION and ASSERTIVENESS) were significantly different (P<0.01).
