Abstract

This research examined the effectiveness of education training based on group narrative therapy on COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERNs of students couples. this research, was a semi-experimental study, consisting of pre-test and post-test with control group. Statistical population of this study includes all Shahrood married university student who studies in the first three month of 2015. The sample include 16 couples (8 in control and 8 in experiment group) who were selected based on volunteer sampling. Experiment group passed a 9 sessioned narrative therapy based education, meanwhile the control group did not received any educational interventions. Two questionnaires used in this study were «Communication Patterns Questionnair Christensen & salavy, 1984». Mancovaanalysis was used as the statistical methods. results show that compared to control group, the experiment group experienced in element of mutual /constructive COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERN improved in the experiement group (P>0.01). Elements of mutual /avoidance COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERN, demand /withdraw COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERN, women demand / men withdraw COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERN, student couples men demand/women withdraw COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERN experienced the same decrease in experiemental group as well (P>0.01). On the basise of to find this investigation, could be concluded that narrative therapy has some unique results on the COMMUNICATIONAL PATTERNs of the couples.
