Abstract

Because of the mutual effect of old age and city living, they’are important axis of study and planning for increasing the living quality of old people. old people who are principal elements for protection of order and solidarity, cultural transmission and reproduction, and were known as social asset of society, have always been under consideration of knowledgeable elderly lover cities sts. Principal goal of this study is recognition of pattern and features of the elderly basis urban planning. Special goals include understanding of sociologists and urban planners approach to necessity of consideration to elderlies, identifying the characteristics of elderly lover city, and present capabilities of Tehran to join elderly lover cities in the world. The practical goal is to offer an appropriate urban planning for elderlies of Tehran and then whole the country. This study is descriptive and from the point of goal and depth is practical and superficial. Method of the study is qualitative and implemented by the use of DELFI technique. Statistic groups are urban planning specialists and sociologists. Tool of the study is questionnaire and data was analyzed by the use of SPSS software. Finding indicated that in ' first stage' the basic requirement are include facilities such as sitting places, suitable public toilets, security, hygiene of passageways and parks, which emphasis on physical and sometimes emotional limitation of old peolover of elderlies, reform, struction of bridge and underpass have been forgotten. They all together say that like universal pattern, the challenge of Tehran in this century is oldness of population and urbanism. Also unsafeness of parks because of plying of the bikes, skates, ball and risk of it’s harm to elder people, the separation of such places have priority. In order to, Tehran joins elderly lover cities all the judge agreed on implementation of a medium-term planning.
