Abstract

The purpose of this research has been examination and explanation of HUMAN’s FUNCTIONALITY sociologically in DISCOURSE of Islamic revolution of Iran, esp. over a 13-year period (May 1997 - May 2010). Therefore first we studied conception of “human” and it would affect two Reformist and Conservative terms depending on critical analysis method of DISCOURSE in five crucial periods to that era. In this way, with focusing on Hejmonic thought and functionalist in detail analysis in each era and identifying DISCOURSE strategies while examining LANGUAGE and meaning system, contexts and main political speeches, we have dealt with opponent’s attitude so that you can be able to identify DISCOURSE atmosphere and ideology POWER of the opponent. And in order to learning more about the field in which the talks have been provided.Each period consists of general analysis, as well as historical, economical, political and cultural background.As well as we have explained the meaning of FUNCTIONALITY in each period relying on DISCOURSE theory and those which are under consideration and relevant to HUMAN’s FUNCTIONALITY theorically from the structure of FUNCTIONALITY point of view.And eventually it will be opened the window of DISCOURSE on sorts of typology over that era. Some of the most important subjects are: subject of HUMAN’s liberalism, subject of law- abiding and shunning oppression, subject of justice and religion and subject of bound duty.At the end, for a better explanation and understanding, we have posed and summed up HUMAN’s FUNCTIONALITY in DISCOURSE of Islamic revolution of Iran and effective components related to it.
