Pages

  141-159

Abstract

The study of poetic FORMs is important for different reasons. Firstly, it sheds light on the origins of each FORM. Secondly, it depicts the relationship between FORM and CONTENT and thirdly, it makes understanding a specific FORM possible from a comparative perspective. What is more, it helps us understand how literatures from different countries influence and are influenced by each other. The present study is significant because TRIPLETs are a recently reconstructed FORM of poetry. In the present article, I will attempt to elaborate on the hows and whys of the issues stated above.
