Abstract

This article intends to study the stylistic of STYLE="font-style:inherit;color:#ff0078">AZRAGHI Heravy's Poetry, a second half of the fifth century Iranian poet. The research investigates the principles of stylistics. While refrainin fromgThe usual genralization ascribed to him. This study aragues that Azragi is a phrase maker and his phrases are more of additional and descriptive types. In his selection of meters, he has paid proper attention to melodic values and has avoided unpleasant meters. As for imagery, he has paid special attention to similes and metafhors and, particulary, fantastic and imaginary analogies not so common in his time. Moreovers; he has extravagantly made use of hyperbole.
