Abstract

If we believe in the relation between mind and language, then we have to admit that language and its components are affected by the discourse that is formed in it. In sum, it can be claimed that any discourse creates a chain of meanings that are filled with different concepts and ideas. And because of this it can be said that a word used in a piece of discourse can have a meaningful contribution. The Ishmaelite had also their own form of discourse; so much so that the writings of such writers as NASSER KHOSROW are seen as an example and a demonstration of the dominant discourse of this religious branch of Islam. The present paper attempts to apply a stylistic approach on NASSER KHOSROW’s Zad-ol-mosaferin as one of the best works produced in this period.
