Abstract

The existence of multiple crises in human life and the effects that make it necessary to study the damage and the positive consequences of it. The purpose of this study was to investigate the qualitative aspects of spiritual components in post-traumatic individuals. To this end, a qualitative research was conducted using the grounded theory of 50 people with disabilities resulting from car crashes that had been at least two years of their disability and assessed for post-traumatic growth. Twelve subjects with the highest scores in post-traumatic growth were interviewed in the semi-structured group. After the interview, open and axial analysis and coding were performed. 83 open codes and 23 axial codes. Among these core codes, which constitute the spiritual components of individuals who grow up after injury, one can refer to the belief in the purposefulness of creation, the hope of the hereafter, the belief in the existence of divine wisdom. This research has provided a new understanding of the dimensions of spiritual growth in post-traumatic human-induced Iranian culture. The presence of these components in the developed population can be explained with cases such as type of injury, change in life due to crisis, events that occurred during the crisis, cultural, social and religious context of the studied population. These components can be used to treat and facilitate growth in affected individuals.
