Abstract

There has been much criticism of Obama's Middle Eastern strategy and some believe that it lacked the strategic landscape. The United States' Middle Eastern strategy review under President Obama from the approach of NEOCLASSICAL REALISM not only does not approve this view, but also it proves that Obama has adopted a coherent strategy from the beginning of presidency towards the Middle East and on this basis he has made considerable efforts to promote America's national security. So, the answer to this question is important that which strategy used by Obama towards the Middle East and how has followed this trend? This study utilizes the method of descriptive- analytical, shows that United States Middle Eastern policy under Obama started with the assignment of responsibility to its regional allies in the form of OFFSHORE BALANCING and with time moved to accept limited responsibility. Due to the proximity of the Obama administration's foreign policy doctrine to realism, from the viewpoint of the authors, this theory can explain better the foreign policy of the United States under President Barack Obama.
