Abstract

Nowadays, ENERGY SECURITY, as one of the dimensions of NATIONAL SECURITY, is one of the main concerns of all states. Because of having big resources of NATURAL GAS and favorable geopolitical location, Iran has high potential in international gas trade via pipelines. The main goal of this article is a clarification of challenges which Iran faces them in the NATIONAL SECURITY realization by pipelines. The main question is what are the challenges and its solutions of Iran in gas trade by poplins. On the base of descriptive-analytic study of subject, Iran faces challenges in supply security, as importing county, demand security, as exporting country, and transit security, as transit country; but the main challenge is in demand dimension. To keep existent demand and making diversity in demand, desirable solutions are increasing investment, Technical Knowledge Transfer, and promotion of demand readiness in emergency situations and declining of international disputes in gas supply.
