Abstract

The transition of Iraq's political system info a “federative democratic” one, has faced the Middle East region, especially those ARAB COUNTRIES with KURDISH MINORITIES among them with different challenges. Relating to those countries with KURDISH MINORITIES such as Iran, Turkey and Syria, this POLITICAL SYSTEM CHANGE could cause new demands among them on the one hand, and by accompany of the regional and trans-regional actors, Israel and the United States, may lead to form a new independent and free Kurdish State with several security consequences, on the other hand. There is also ARAB COUNTRIES anxiety relating to the political change in Iraq, especially when it leads to establish a federative system in Kurdistan, because it could weaken the Arabic identity on the one hand, and marginate Arab Sunnite and increase Iran power, on the other hand.Where as most of the ARAB COUNTRIES are governed by non-democratic regimes, it is believed that the change should be considered along with the United State goal of democratization process in the Middle East region, inspired by Greater Middle East project.
