THE COMPARISON OF EPISODIC, SEMANTIC AND SPECIFIC AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MEMORY PERFORMANCE IN PEOPLE INFECTED HIV AND NORMAL

Abstract

 The present study aimed to compare autobiographical memory performance in people infected HN and normal.60 subjects participated in research. Subjects were men and women (30 with HIY & 30 normal) in age 18-60 that selected by available sampling in Aids Research Center in Tehran. Using of ex-post facto methodology, data collected by the autobiographical memory interview (AMI) and autobiographical memory test (AMT) and analyzed by statistic test of ANOYA. The research findings indicated that there was a significant difference among episodic, semantic and SPECIFIC AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MEMORY performance in people with HIV and normal. Findings showed that there is significant difference between semantic and SPECIFIC AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MEMORY performance throughout life. This provided some evidence to suggest that episodic, semantic and SPECIFIC AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MEMORY performance in people with HIV was less normal people. As such, concluded that thus defects of reduction in specific memory were basic symptom in PTSD, and the type of trauma affect positive and negative specific memory. In other words, after occurrence PTSD, the deficits of related to memory performance was appeared by high risk events. In fact, cognitive performance was influenced by individual mental reaction to stressor and emotions of episode.
