Abstract: 

This research was done with the aim of studying prevalence of enuresis and associated factors to nocturnal enuresis amongst pre-primary school students in the city of Ahwaz. This research was of cross sectional descriptive kind, whose statistics society was all the pre-primary school students in the city of Ahwaz in the educational year of 89-90 (20 I 0-20 11). In order to survey the prevalence of this disorder 920 pre-primary school students, using an clustered multistage sampling, were chosen, 807 parents out of this group filled in their children checklists' and were taken into account as the final samples in final analysis. To analyze the data, in addition to descriptive methods like abundance and percentage, Chi square deductive statistics method was used. Based on the results of this research, prevalence of enuresis in the studied subjects was 14.4%. 10.8%, 2.1 % and 1.5% of all subjects are by far affected by nocturnal enuresis, diurnal enuresis and compound enuresis. The research results showed that enuresis is meaningfully related to male gender (P=0.026), antecedent of enuresis in child's sisters and brothers (P=O.OOO 1), positive history of enuresis among child's parents (P=O.OOO I), excessive intake ofliquids (P=O.OOO 1) and excessive urination during the day (P=0.013).

Abstract: 

The aim of this research was to examine the effect of yoga training on psychological well-being and happiness of near retirement employees in a big industrial company of Ahvaz. The design of this study was experimental, with pre-test, post-test and control group. The population of this study was male employees near retirement who worked in a big industrial company of Ahvaz. The research sample was consisted of 30 persons who were selected by simple random sampling method. These samples were randomly divided into 2 groups (experimental and control groups). The instruments were used: Scale Psychological Well-being (SPWB) and Oxford Happiness Inventory (OHI). First pre-test was conducted on 2 groups. Afterward the experimental intervention was performed on experimental group (consisted of 10 sessions of Yoga training). Post-test was performed. For date analysis, multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was used. The result showed that there was a significant difference between 2 groups. Therefore it can be said that Yoga training increased psychological well-being and happiness of experimental group in comparison with control group. According to result of this research the Yoga training as the combined of positive psychology and cognitive theory can increase the rate of psychological well-being and happiness in near retirement employees.

Abstract: 

The main of the present study was to examine the prediction of goal orientations, included: Mastery approach, Mastery avoidance, Performance approach, and Performance avoidance by parenting styles. The sample included 609 subjects (308 girls and 301 boys) selected randomly from different high schools of DezfuI city. Achievement Goal Questionnaire (Elliot, McGregor, 2001) and Parental Authority Questionnaire (Buri, 1992) were used. For testing validity of the instruments confirmatory factor analysis method were used. Cronbach alpha coefficient was calculated in order to determine the reliability of the measures. The results showed acceptable reliability and validity of the instruments. By using imultaneous (enter) multiple regression analysis, the prediction of goal orientation by parenting styles was confirmed. Results showed that authoritative style was a positive and signify cant predictor of mastery-approach and performance-approach. Authoritarian style was a significant predictor of performance-avoidance.

Abstract: 

Present research intends to consider parenting methods of parents with their 14 to 17 years old ado-lescents social suffering from phobias in Ahvaz. The statistical sample consisted of383 adolescents (196 female and 187 male) selected in multi-process randomized sampling method. The study in-struments were Bamrind parenting questionnaire and social phobia inquire (SPIN). Present studywas of correlation type. Data analysis results using Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariable Regression statistical methods showed that no significant relation was found between parenting methods of parents (despotic, ignoring, authoritative) and adolescent social phobia. A significant relation was seen between the parent's social phobia and adolescent social phobia.

Abstract: 

This study investigated There Mathematics Study Skills in students' academic success in Mathematics courses. Research sample included 237 students majoring basic sciences from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman who had chosen general mathematics 2. They were selected through stratified random sampling method. The questionnaire of Mathematics study skills including 37 queries and 6 micro-tests was presented to examinees. Moreover, the correlation coefficient of the questionnaire's scores and each of the micro-tests was compared with general mathematics I which was considered as the important factor of student academic success in mathematic. The using Multiple regression (Enter method) indicated the test-taking strategies, learning strategies and motivation were the most important factors predicting the students academic success in mathematics. Also, during the present study, the anticipators of academic success were determined based on gender. The results indicated that motivation, learning strategies and test-taking strategies in males and the test-taking strategies, learning strategies and note-taking strategies in females are the best anticipators of academic success in mathematics

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to compare autobiographical memory performance in people infected HN and normal.60 subjects participated in research. Subjects were men and women (30 with HIY & 30 normal) in age 18-60 that selected by available sampling in Aids Research Center in Tehran. Using of ex-post facto methodology, data collected by the autobiographical memory interview (AMI) and autobiographical memory test (AMT) and analyzed by statistic test of ANOYA. The research findings indicated that there was a significant difference among episodic, semantic and specific autobiographical memory performance in people with HIV and normal. Findings showed that there is significant difference between semantic and specific autobiographical memory performance throughout life. This provided some evidence to suggest that episodic, semantic and specific autobiographical memory performance in people with HIV was less normal people. As such, concluded that thus defects of reduction in specific memory were basic symptom in PTSD, and the type of trauma affect positive and negative specific memory. In other words, after occurrence PTSD, the deficits of related to memory performance was appeared by high risk events. In fact, cognitive performance was influenced by individual mental reaction to stressor and emotions of episode.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to investigate and compare runaway and non-runaway girls' mental health and emotional intelligence. Subjects were 30 runaway girls and 30 non-runaway girls selected by accessible sampling. Information was gathered using Demographic Characteristics Questionnaire, General Health Questionnaire and Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire. Results indicated significant difference between mental health of runaway and Non-runaway girls, that is Nonrunaway girls had better mental health. Results also indicated high depression in runaway girls. Furthermore, results indicated that there was significant difference between emotional intelligence of runaway and non-runaway girls. Non-runaway girls had higher emotional intelligence. Other results showed higher scores of problem solving, independence, self actualization, realism, interpersonal relations, optimism, responsibility, sympathy, assertiveness and happiness for non-runaway girls.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was investigation of effect of PQ5R on achievement Motivation among boy's Secondary Schools in the third grade of Ramshir city. The Society of this Research was boy's Secondary Schools in the third grade of Ramshir city in the 89-90 educational year. The sample size consist ono Person that selected through Simple Random Sampling method. The instrument of this research was Bernard winner Achievement Motivation Test. Research design was the pre-test post test follow up control group design. For analyzing data, we used statistical method such as Analysisof Co-variation (ANCOVA), Multivariate Analysis of Co-variation (MANCOVA) and Cronbachs Alpha and Split-half Method for Reliability test was used. Results show that PQ5R Caused an in-crease in boy's achievement motivation in experimental group in comparison with control group (a=0.05).
