Abstract

This study investigated OPTIMISM, HUMOR, SOCIAL MATURITY and DEATH ANXIETY in Ahvaz Golestan Hospital nurses. The sample included 200 nurses who randomly selected. The instruments were used in this research were: OPTIMISM Questionnaires (ASQ), HUMOR Scale (Martin and Lefcourt), RAO SOCIAL MATURITY Scale (RSMS) and Collet-Lester Fear of Death Scale.The Analysis of data which was contented with correlation revealed that no significant relationship between OPTIMISM and DEATH ANXIETY exist. But there was a significant relation between HUMOR and DEATH ANXIETY and between SOCIAL MATURITY with DEATH ANXIETY. Regression analysis also showed that HUMOR was the only predictive variable the criterion that was DEATH ANXIETY.
