Abstract

In this research the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and DEPRESSION was studied. To this purpose 317 (275 female and 42 male) undergraduate psychology students of Islamic Azad University, Tehran Branch were assessed using Beck's DEPRESSION test and EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE questionnaire. The results of multiple Regression Analysis showed that assertiveness, reality testing and also emotional self awerness are impotantant predictors of DEPRESSION.
