Abstract

The aim of current study was to compare the ALEXITHYMIA and emotional inttlligence between male and female of STUDENTS of Islamic Azad University, Ahvaz Baruch. 400 STUDENTS including 185 femeles and 215 males were selected through stratified random sampling and were assessed using Ahwaz ALEXITHYMIA Scale (AAS-26) and Petrids and Furnham EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Questionnaire. In order to analysis the data, Multivariate analysis of Variance (MANOVA) and independent samples t-test in meaningful level (p<0.001). The results showed that there was signifcant difference between males and females in the ALEXITHYMIA and EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. In the EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE females and in the ALEXITHYMIA boys was higher.
