Abstract

Rural tourism covers many fields including RIVER ECOTOURISM that has been worked out in many counries including Iran, to a certain extent. However, nothing has been done in connection with the step function and classification of districts of amol province and with the aim of exploiting their natural attraction in rural tourism. therefore, the present research was undertaken by utilization of expert choice, Arc GIS9.3,AHP methods, networking and analysis with 7 standards. The results of the research proved that (1) districts of Amol province are suitable for rural ecotourism and (2) their attraction can be exploited in rural development. Classification of districts was established and finally recommendations were proposed.
