Abstract

In last two decades BEHSHAHR faced with overpopulation and unlimited physical expansion, as a result dichotomy has been formed in late and earlier URBAN CONTEXT. On the other hand, due to insignificance consideration of URBAN FURNITURE in some urban texture and lack of proper furniture or nonconformity of well-designed structure in such textures, not only was not result in visual aesthetic but also result in spatial structure disruption of the urban texture in the urban based perspectives.Based on these important issues, this study tried to review the concept URBAN FURNITURE and its importance in terms of tissue quality of BEHSHAHR city. Comparative aspects of URBAN CONTEXTs was measured according to the URBAN FURNITURE with completed 382 questionnaires through the of BEHSHAHR city context in terms of SPSS tests (T and Friedman), entropy models of TOPSIS and coefficient Results indicate that furniture of BEHSHAHR city: inconsistent with climatic conditions, indigenous with cultures, inappropriate with function space and was not according to citizens’ demand. As well as, in debate of landscape influence quality indexes, URBAN FURNITURE was not in desirable condition. It is noteworthy that urban texture of BEHSHAHR city was not based on desirability and perspective furniture indexes and they had not equal condition. So that, based on desirability of URBAN PERSPECTIVE indexes, historical and contemporary context included better status. In terms of indexes, other contexts have been estimated about poor or very poor condition.
