RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONALITY FACTORS AND JOB SATISFACTION AMONG SEPAH BANK EMPLOYEES

Abstract

JOB SATISFACTION is one of the most challenging organizational concepts and the basis of many policies and guidelines of management for promoting the efficiency and productivity of an organization. This research was conducted to determine the role of the personality factors that affect employees’ JOB SATISFACTION. The research was a descriptive analytical study and its participants were 250 employees that were selected by random sampling from among Sepah Bank employees. In order to assess JOB SATISFACTION and personality, JDI questionnaire and NEO-FFI questionnaire were used, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed at descriptive and inferential levels. The results showed that EXTROVERSION, OPENNESS, AGREEABLENESS and CONSCIENTIOUSNESS dimensions have a positive correlation, and NEUROTICISM has a negative correlation with occupational satisfaction. Also, it was found that 17% of the variance of jab satisfaction was accounted by linear combination of OPENNESS and NEUROTICISM.
