Abstract

Civilizational marriage, as a social and cultural phenomenon, plays a key role in expanding communication between different civilizations and cultures. These types of marriages, which typically occur between individuals with different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, can lead to the creation of bridges between various communities. Through these unions, the exchange of values, customs, and cultural, social, and ultimately civilizational experiences is facilitated. As a result, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence between nations are strengthened. Furthermore, civilizational marriages can also contribute to enhancing economic and political relations. By forming families based on civilizational marriages, individuals from two different cultures become closer to each other, which can help reduce ethnic and racial prejudices and increase empathy and mutual respect. Ultimately, civilizational marriage not only enriches the cultures of societies but also serves as an effective tool in the process of globalization and intercultural interactions. From a civilizational perspective on marriage, it is possible to promote a discourse that can bring peace and security to the global community, in contrast to the theory of the clash of civilizations. This article aims to examine the phenomenon of civilizational marriage in the expansion of civilizational and global communications using a descriptive and analytical method, within the theoretical framework of globalization theory. The research findings indicate that civilizational marriage, by creating space for the exchange of various values and customs, can lead to strengthening mutual understanding between cultures. Additionally, civilizational marriage, as an effective strategy, can contribute to the creation of multicultural societies, peaceful coexistence, economic development, and new opportunities for cooperation.
