ANALYZING THE EFFECTIVE FACTORS ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL WITH EMPHASIZING ON THE ROLE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PRESENTING APPROPRIATE PATTERN (THE CASE STUDY: THE POLICE STATIONS OF TEHRAN)

Abstract

 The social capital is a replaceable resource which is provided for the organizations and individuals for achieving their goals. The communications and then PUBLIC RELATIONS have an important role and sometimes necessary role formation of social capital and its consumption. This research has been applied for answering this problem that how the activities and performance of inter- and extern-organizational of police may result generally in the production of social capital and specially ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL. The main objective of this research is reviewing the effective factors on the social capital in the organization emphasizing on the role of PUBLIC RELATIONS, the case study on the police stations of Tehran and presenting appropriate pattern.The extant paper as respect to the objective is applied and as respect to the methodology is survey descriptive-analytical. The sampling group is consisted of all people approaching the police stations of Tehran in the first 6-months in 2010 and has been executed on 326 persons via simple and systematic two-stage cluster sampling. The sampling tool was interview and researcher made questionnaire that its reliability and validity has been studied and confirmed in the preliminary stage.The findings of this research indicate that the most relationship between PUBLIC RELATIONS management performance is with ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL and has the least relationship with PERSUASIVE Performance of PUBLIC RELATIONS. Also, as respect to the communicative and cognitive dimensions, ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL has the most relationship with RELATIONS MANAGEMENT performance and the least relationship with PERSUASIVE performance. As respect to the structural dimension, has the most relationship with COUNSELING performance and the least relationship with PERSUASIVE performance.The results of this study indicated that among the defined variables for police communications, the performances of RELATIONS MANAGEMENT and development of relationships, solving the problem, and COUNSELING, public INFORMING and training respectively have the most effect on the development and amplifying the ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL of police force.
