Abstract

Background and objectives: Measures taken to reduce the Smuggling of goods due to the identification of the type, extent and depth of Smuggling of goods by coarse grains, or gangs and trafficking networks, are not based on scientific principles and these bands are developing and growing in the form of mushrooms in the country. Due to the importance of the role of the police in preventing the formation of smuggling gangs, this research has been conducted to explain the role of police Interactions in preventing the formation of smuggling gangs. Methodology: This study is of a descriptive-analytical research and the statistical population of this research includes experts and managers of the police force, the Anti-Smuggling and Currency Control Committee, the Customs and the Suspending Organization. A researcher-made questionnaire was employed to collect data. The sample size is based on the Cochran formula (400 individuals). Cronbach's alpha was used to measure reliability of the research. The questionnaire was confirmed as reliable (alpha =. 89). Findings: The component of police Interaction with the executive branch (with a mean rank of 4. 54), the Interaction with the armed forces (with a mean rank of 4. 01, the Interaction with the judiciary (with a mean rank of 3. 93, the Interaction with the media (with a mean rank of 2. 79), the Interaction with the legislature (with a mean rank of 2. 68), is of paramount importance to the police, respectively, in order to achieve a favorable situation in preventing the formation of smuggling gangs. Results: In order to achieve the desired situation in preventing the formation of gangs of smuggling goods, and also to play a role in increasing the strength of the resistance economy and strengthening the national economy, the police should operationalize the components of Interaction with the executive branch and the component of Interaction with the armed forces in the medium to long term and long-term strengthening and enforcement.
