Abstract

Context and object: We are living in a world in which KNOWLEDGE management has been changed to one of the inseparable functions of business and new dimension of management for many of organizations at present. This topic has a greater importance for the universities that their intrinsic activity and main task is carrying out scientific activities. UNIVERSITY OF DISCIPLINARY SCIENCES as the sole center of higher education for police officers is not excepted from this principle and if would coordinate itself with the science development goal, should effort and take sample from pioneer universities in the field of management properly. In this paper, with the objective of modeling the best methods of UNIVERSITY OF TEHRAN as a pioneer university in this context, the process of KNOWLEDGE management of UNIVERSITY OF DISCIPLINARY SCIENCES with UNIVERSITY OF TEHRAN is compared.Methodology: This study has been applied via two documental and survey methods and aiding taking note and questionnaire. The reliability of researcher made questionnaire was calculated through Cronbach’s alpha method equal to 0.94 and compiled data were analyzed via t, Whitney, two-sentence, kruskal-wallis tests.Findings and results: The results of this study indicate the significant difference between KNOWLEDGE management in two universities. In four elements of achieving, applying, sharing and maintaining the KNOWLEDGE, UNIVERSITY OF TEHRAN has better status than UNIVERSITY OF DISCIPLINARY SCIENCES, and just regarding two elements of KNOWLEDGE characterization and development emphasizing the insignificant relationship between two universities but a little difference indicates the UNIVERSITY OF DISCIPLINARY SCIENCES has rather preference. Reviewing the status of applying KNOWLEDGE management in two universities indicate that just two elements of applying and sharing KNOWLEDGE have applied well only in UNIVERSITY OF TEHRAN.
