Abstract

While FORESIGHTING means to observe the future possibilities, police forces should identify and adopt the correct decisions on policies and programs so can determine the priorities of requirements in different dimensions for perspective document of the year 1404 as the aim of determined and relevant goals. One critical dimension which has the ever increasing impact on performance of the wide portion of police's current and next programs is Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This approach attempts to identify and prioritize the future technologies and technological requirements of the police in the field of information and communication technology in 1404, the police in the future fields, and finally to obtain the ideal level in the ICT in the year 1404. Foresight reference model used in this study was the Ben Martin model and the method of survey was Delphi. Active Experts, teachers and administrators in the field of ICT foresight of the armed forces, were the population of research among which 300 persons were chosen with judgment sampling. Total results of the present research has revealed hopeful views of the country's elites for the future of ICT in policing and the level of the technologies which will be reached and used by police in the horizon of the year 1404. The idea among the elites of the society that police has sufficient capabilities to turn into the best level of practice in the region up to 1404, is an important sign of their trust to police. Technology experts participating in the study have emphasized the importance of police-related technologies in all areas of information technologies and communications in security fields, management sciences, ICT, and have revealed a strong presence and technologic advancement of police in the new spaces of E-learning and distance educations.
