Abstract

The aim of the current investigation was studying PERSONALITY TRAITS of MOTHERS WITH MORE THAN ONE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD. 100 mothers from among MOTHERS WITH MORE THAN ONE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD, 150 mothers from among mothers with one exceptional child and 200 mothers from among mothers with more than one normal child were randomly selected. To gather data, NEO personality Inventory was used. One- way analysis of variance, homogeneity of variance test, Tamhanes T2 and LSD tests were used for data analysis. Results showed that there were significant differences among the three groups in PERSONALITY TRAITS. It seems that there is a correlation between having an exceptional child in the family and mothers' personality characteristics.
