Abstract

The present research examined the effectiveness of INNOVATIVE ILLUSTRATION on preschool children’s CREATIVITY. The research was semi-experimental with pretest posttest having a control group. 60 children studying at Qazvin kindergartens in 1393-94 scholastic year were selected through multistep cluster method as the sample and were assigned randomly to two groups of control and experimental. The experimental group was administrated 8 45-minute sessions of INNOVATIVE ILLUSTRATION (the independent variable). The instrument was Torne’s CREATIVE THINKING questionnaire (form B) which was administrated to both groups in three steps of pre-test, post-test and follow-up (one month). Finding of ANCOVA showed that there was significant difference between children’s CREATIVITY in control and experimental groups from pretest to posttest. Results, also, indicated that treatment effects were stable. It can be concluded that INNOVATIVE ILLUSTRATION is a method to increase children’ CREATIVITY.
