Title

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN IDENTITY AND THINKING STYLES, AND STUDENTS ACCOUNTABILITY

Abstract

 The present study aimed to investigate relationship between identity and THINKING STYLES and that of students’ ACCOUNTABILITY. From among 3500 pre-university level females as the statistical population 348 students were chosen through multistep cluster method and the intended questionnaire was administered to them. To collect data, Sterenberg-Wagner’s THINKING STYLES, Berzonsky’s IDENTITY STYLES, and Karami-Nemati’s ACCOUNTABILITY questionnaires were used. Results indicated that there was significant correlation between IDENTITY STYLES and ACCOUNTABILITY. There was also significant correlation between THINKING STYLES and ACCOUNTABILITY. Identity style’s share in predicting ACCOUNTABILITY was more than THINKING STYLES.
