Title

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PLAY TRAINING ON INCREASING CREATIVITY OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTENS

Abstract

 Play is the most important activity for PRESCHOOL CHILDREN that affects social, affective and cognitive development of children. Creative plays are appropriate opportunity for developing CREATIVITY in children. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of PLAY TRAINING on CREATIVITY of PRESCHOOL CHILDREN. The methodology was quasi-experimental and pretest posttest with control design. 32 children were selected and randomly assigned in experiment and control groups through available sampling. Early level of CREATIVITY was measured by questionnaire of Tourance CREATIVITY. PLAY TRAINING was treated on experiment group in 15 sessions of 45 minutes and level of CREATIVITY was measured again and the data were analyzed by test of ANCOVA. The research findings indicated that PLAY TRAINING significantly increase components of flexibility, originality, fluency, elaboration in PRESCHOOL CHILDREN (p<0.01). The results of study provide some evidence that PLAY TRAINING is an appropriate plan for increasing the CREATIVITY. Therefore, it was suggested for improving divergent thinking and CREATIVITY of children, packages in framework of activities based on play done for PRESCHOOL CHILDREN.
