Abstract

This study aimed to identify OBSTACLES and challenges of doing RESEARCHes in instructional units of Alborz province through the survey method. The population included 220 SCHOOL managers from which 166 were selected randomly by Kokran’s formula. The RESEARCH instrument was a RESEARCHer-made questionnaire consisting of 21 Likert-type items (totally agreed-agreed-disagreed-totally disagreed). The results indicated that the most important OBSTACLES and challenges, in this regard, were ordered as the following in respect to their degree of importance: shortage of rules and regulations, shortage of budget and equipments, lack of serious support to RESEARCHers, inefficiency of instructional methods and evaluation and not applying RESEARCH findings in instructional units.
