Abstract

One of the most general trends within every society’s development is movement towards a modern world which paves the ground for many future progresses. Modernity movement is a trend first appeared in the west and then transferred to other spots of the world. As this movement necessitates changes in all social, economical, cultural and political aspects, its introduction to our society presents conflicts for the cultural and traditional value system since this movement is the by-product of other societies’ internal revolutions. One of the conflicts may be females’ misconducts. This research seeks to explain adolescents’ misconducts in Babol city based on modern behaviors theories. The research design is causative-surveying method. The instrument was researcher made for which the determined validity was estimated to be .88 through Chronbach’s Alpha. The data were described via multiple analysis to test the research hypotheses. Independent variables were: 1. EGALITARIAN ORIENTATION or intellectual bond to equality of human rights and status without any biases of race or ethnicity; 2. INDEPENDENT ORIENTATION or tendency to independence from traditional authoritative obligations resulting in disharmony with such values; 3. Risk culture or one of the basic aspects of modern culture by which awareness of potential risks turns to be a means of the future advancement; 4. Acceptance of new experiences against past ones. Modernity, intellectual variables, individualism, consumerism, traditionalism and criticism were tested as the final independent variables. The dependent variable consisted of 25 components under the categories of family, social, cultural, educational, economical and religious, being tested within the frequency of doing MODERATE MISCONDUCT framework. The research was done in Babol city, March 2009. To test the hypotheses the statistical Minitab Package was implemented. The results based on the comparison of predictive variables and using multiple statistical analysis showed that individualism and consumerism had strong and stable roles, doing multiple regression analysis. In structural equations, patronizing individualism and consumerism, also, had a significant role on MODERATE MISCONDUCTs.
