Abstract

Today, dynamism, complexity and uncertainty are some of the distinct characteristics of organizational environments. In such an environment organizations need to improve customer satisfaction of their clients are in need of proper KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT. If organizations want to take advantage of the potential benefits of KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT, they should provide adequate infrastructural factors. This research aims to identify and prioritize key infrastructures in order to establish KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT in PROJECT-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. Data gathered through an interview with a number of industry experts, project managers, academics and some of the companies and contractors who are involved with the project. The results of these interviews using the techniques of content analysis was conducted and the characteristics of the infrastructure necessary for the establishment of KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT, mining, and finally a questionnaire containing 75 questions designed to measure the influence parameters are derived and their ranking were developed and distributed among the members of the research sample. The results of the analysis of research data shows that four factors are important which are structure and organizational processes, IT, mission and organizational values and organizational culture.
