Abstract

The present research aims at evaluating the amount of desirability of pictures of STORY BOOKS FOR CHILDREN aging 7-12, published by the INSTITUTE FOR THE INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTs (IIDCYA) during 2001-2009. The method of research in first section is library method and in second section is content analysis. The society of research includes all story books (68 titles) of children the range of 7-12 which has been published by IIDCYA. The collected data have been analyzed by both descriptive and inferential statistics. On the basis of findings, it was realized that the amount of desirability is more than average in the most of pictures of story. Finally, some recommendations for improving the pictures, and some suggestions for further research were offered.
