Abstract

Strategic studies at the national security obviously show that "energy security" along with food and water security are the pillars of a country’s national security triangle. Thus, the experts of economy and international politics believe that in the 21st century, the capability to harness energy sources or transmission lines, guarantees entry of wealth to a country, and without a guaranteed flow of energy, countries’ national security will be threatened. It should be known that international political balances are not stable. Although these balances are not disturbed in this special circumstances to have this balance, but it is clear that they can be transformed. Originally within the framework of neo-realistic theoretical approach and then in the framework of other theoretical approaches, this article, examines the causes, forms and process of war in ideology-based and rationality-based wars by using descriptive-analytical method. The main question is that what changes did the causes of war do and what kind changes did it bear regarding the reasons, methods and processes. Part of the initial answer is that although wars still follow the old reasons, but the quality and nature of future wars in escalating the conflicts and the possibility of resorting to war will be changed.
