BETWEEN PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF INDIVIDUALS AND WORK HOLISM IN PUBLIC ORGANIZATION

Abstract

 Purpose: some people work a bit more than the others do. However, most people know when to stop working to rest. In spite of this, some individuals work as far as possible that their family and friends want to care more. Nowadays, these people are introduced as workaholic ones. The present research has studied the relationship between personality characteristics of individuals and workaholism, a cross sectional study.Design/methodology/approach: the present research is measurable in terms of application and survey. For data gathering used Questionnaire tool and multiple correlation coefficient and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used for testing principle hypotheses and secondary hypotheses, respectively.Findings: considering the results of the present research, it shows correlation coefficient of .445 between personality characteristic variables (self-efficacy, narcissism, and LOCUS OF CONTROL) and WORK HOLISM. This correlation coefficient is meaningful. Therefore, there is mainly relationship between personality characteristics (self- efficacy, NARCISSICISM and LOCUS OF CONTROL) of statistical population and WORK HOLISM.
