Abstract

In the resent years with the emergence of information technology, information exchanges are rapidly growing and accessibility of information become easier than past. in this situation, it is very important to protect and keep INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY of authors and researchers. There are lot of law and regulation about this subject especially in advanced countries. This paper first by reviewing the accepted moral concepts, then with explanation PLAGIARISM cases discusses that causes of doing PLAGIARISM in IRAN.Conclusions imply lack of proper knowledge and training, scientific promotion without investigation, Quantitative orientation instead of Qualitative orientation, degree orientation, lack of clear and deterrent rules and inadequate funding of research are the motives of PLAGIARISM and approval of Deterrent laws, education and culture development and of establish of comprehensive research database are strategies to reduce the PLAGIARISM in IRAN.
