Abstract

Man's AUTHORITY in FAMILY is an important issue that considered in Shariah (Islamic Law) due to the verse 34 of Nisa Chapter. But there is no consensus about its concept and domain. Deliberation upon the holy verses of quran and investigating intellectual and scriptual principals about DIRECTORSHIP of man in FAMILY, shows that DIRECTORSHIP of man in FAMILY consist in taking responsibility of caring the spouse and the children in order to safeguard their well being and welfare of the FAMILY the one that is considered as the duty of man in proportion to his features and abilities. In this paper, the justification for mans AUTHORITY in FAMILY from quran and hadith point of view were discussed. Married couple relationship as illustrated in Quran, in adition to this subject that is opposed any oppression, it's aim is not to place spouses against each other as two claimant and willing to take their rights but also moral trainings such as remission, good relationship are axial in that culture.Hence, according to quran the concept of DIRECTORSHIP of men over women, is supervision that is necessary for strength and discipline in FAMILY system that leads to form a healthy and happy FAMILY.
