Abstract

TABATABAE's analysis of the Quran INTERPRETATION history and his assessment of the predecessors heritage about INTERPRETATION and his idea for how to interpret, is considered as a milestone for INTERPRETATION trends. Both of his narratives about these trends are a mixture of descriptive and prescriptive aspects and its motif is the way he confronts with Quranic texts.Twofold of "adaption" and "interpretation" are the fundamentals of his trendology and theorizing, in addition to being the basis for his judgments. This fundamental is based on altered preconceptions, so it's not explanatory and illustrative in terms of epistemology. This kind of separation is appropriate for compilation at most, not for judgment, though TABATABAE applied that to judge about INTERPRETATION heritage clearly and repeatedly. Historical view of the Quran INTERPRETATION in addition to classification of the INTERPRETATION genres are proposed as an introduction to establishing a specific method for interpreting and a legitimation divestment of all other INTERPRETATION trends.
