Abstract

The Purpose of present study was to determine the effectiveness of stress inoculation training (SIT) on SOMATIC SYMPTOMS of DIABETic patients. Research method was experimental and statistical population of the study cons is of 2630 DIABETic patients from Isfahan DIABETic center. 16 female and 14 male patients from Isfahan DIABETic center. 16 female and 14 male patients, that were randomly selected, were assigned to two experimental and control groups. General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) was administered to both groups before and after intervention. There were 8 female and 7 male patients in each group. The experiment group received 6 day interval, 100 minutes sessions of (SIT), but the control group did not. Results showed that (SIT) caused a significant decrease in average at total score of SOMATIC SYMPTOMS compare to control group (P<0.001).Therefore education of (SIT) can be useful intervention approach for improving SOMATIC SYMPTOMS of DIABETic patients.
