Abstract

Centuries before Vogler, Nezami the great poet of Gandja created his poetical novels under the name of Khamse. Beautiful stories with excellent STRUCTURE which Haft Paykar is one of them and BAHRAM is the HERO of the story. By studying and reviewing the Haft Paykar structurally and comparing it with Vogler's findings in "WRITER"S JOURNEY" we can see many common points between them. we can review the old and ancient texts from new approaches point of view. These studyings lead us to an important issue and understanding, namely we can study our ancient literature under the shadow of modern approaches and theories. This study, however tries to investigate the dramatic aspects of one of the old texts of Persian literature with respect to, .Christopher Vogler's "writer's JOURNEY".
