Abstract

ROSTAM and SOHRAB’s story that is among the tragedy and hero stories of Shahname This story is a manifestation of ROSTAM’s beliefs and behaviours. He isn’t SELFish. He is a source of generosity and greatness. To make an actual representation of events, the poem has chosen a mystical atmosphere. Legend and hero are strongly mixed with knowledge, and he reminds passing the hard mystical ways while he is trying to kill SELFishness and boasting. He has got a spiritual superiority in this story which make it a field to BATTLE with SELFishness.This mistical story due to perfect personification. Interaction of heroes, atmosphere and profound and exact dialogues has great state in our litreature. It is unique in our history of stories. From its results is purification and refinement of SELF and consequently achieving internal calm relaxation and inner clearness.
